The women had to protest for decades. They had a lot of perseverance and never gave up. They had parades and silent vigils. They even had terrifying hunger strikes. They struggled. But, they held onto their pride. They wanted the rights to own property, keep their own wages, gain custody of their children, attend college, vote and serve in professions. They were treated poorly and unfairly. Every human being is equal. Then, Men had more authority and rights then women. Women stood their ground and kept on protesting. No matter what they did not give up. Women realized they needed the right to vote.
